Blackview BV7000 Pro rugged phone — Reviews

Despite the failure of the Blackview R7, the BV5000 and BV6000 have been well received by users. The series continues with the new Blackview BV7000 Pro smartphone. Let’s consider it in more detail.

Blackview BV7000 Pro Rugged Phone Reviews

Blackview BV7000 Pro design and build quality

Unlike previous models, the BV7000 Pro has an LED indicator and a fingerprint scanner. The scanner is highly accurate and brings the phone to life in less than a second. The three regular Android touch buttons are subtly backlit and highly visible in the dark.

Blackview BV7000 Pro is more reliable and durable than conventional smartphones, while BV6000 is more convenient. The display has become larger by 0.3 inches, although the smartphone remains the same compact – 154 × 79.5 × 12.5 mm. The weight reduction to 222 grams was achieved by reducing the battery capacity: from 4,500 mAh for the BV6000 to 3500 mAh for the BV7000 Pro.

The frame is very wide, 8 mm. The presence of a USB Type-C port is commendable, but it is located too deep and only the USB cable with an extended plug from the kit fits it.

The body is made of rubberized plastic, reinforced with two metal strips on the left and right. The build quality is high. The IP68 rating means the smartphone is completely dust and waterproof. The BV7000 Pro survived being submerged under water for 5 minutes without any problems.

The BV6000 had a protruding frame around the screen that protected the glass when dropped, the BV7000 Pro only has a small protrusion. On the right side, in addition to the power and volume buttons, there is an additional customizable key. For a right-handed person, it is uncomfortable and accidentally touches several times a day.
